Antigua Definitive Overprinted "MONTSERRAT"

Overprint of 1884
Postal markings from Montserrat date back to at least 1807. The British Post Office operated in Plymouth from 1858 to 1860 after which control was returned to local authorities with handstamps were used to indicate postage paid. In 1876 stamps of Antigua overprinted "Montserrat" were placed on sale in Plymouth.
