Unissued Kennedy Commemoratives of 1968
These five designs were also issued as imperforates.
In 1968, Philippines postal authorities entered into a contract with an American agent to produce commemorative stamps associated with the Kennedy family and the Olympic Games in Mexico City. The contract was cancelled and the stamps were never authorized for postal use or sold by the post office in the Philippines. However, the stamps did go on sale to collectors in the United States. The issue is documented (although not officially listed) after Philippines #1071 in Stanley Gibbons Stamps of the World.
