Nachtluftpostnetz Slogan Cancellation of 1961

Nachtluftpostnetz Slogan Cancellation of 1961
Nachtluftpostnetz Slogan Cancellation of 1961 on 10 pfg "Famous Germans" definitive Issue Post Card

For the 60 kilometre trip from Alsfeld to Budingen this post card would not have taken advantage Deutsche Post’s Nachtluftpostnetz so this slogan cancellation was for promotional purposes for the service which was innaugurated on September 1, 1961. The slogan translates, “Night airmail network Letters and postcards fly free of charge.” Mail was flown on Luftansa Vickers Viscount and Convair CV-440 aircraft to and from the service’s hub in Frankfurt. The general rule is that postal delivery within the framework of the night airmail network was carried out on domestic transport routes of more than 450 km.
