Patriotic Relief Semi-Postal Issues
Allegory of colonies offering aid to France issued in 1943.
Stamps inscribed Comité Français de la Liberation National were prepared by the Free French for use in French colonies along with the stamps of those colonies. Eight stamps were issued in 1943 and 1944. When Free French forces landed in Corsica they were used there and later the use was extended to southern France. In November 1944 the stamps became valid for use throughout France.
