Postal Money Order
with Definitive Design of 1865
This postal money order from "Braunschweig" or "Brunswick" is franked with an embossed image similar in design in colour to the one groschen definitive stamp of 1865. Brunswick issued its first stamps in 1852. Its stamps were replaced with those issued by the North German Confederation on January 1, 1868.
